No claims discount on car insurance?
I'm driving in the UK for 13 years and never had a crash or a claim made on my car insurance. However, my wife has had three accidents, all of which have resulted in claims against our common policy. I have now separated from her (not because of the accident!) and want to own a car to buy mine. When I look for auto insurance quotes, I can tell you that I am 13 years had no right or do I take account of its claims as 3 they were filed against a common policy?
If the insurance in your name with your wife as a named driver then your insurance is applied against and will must be explained. If the policy is in the name of your wife with you as your future insurance named driver have not been performed. But if the latter is the case then you should not A no-claims discount if you are not the holder of the insurance. Some companies will honor the fact that you never claimed as a named driver on someone else's policy and give you a short introductory discount on this basis.
