Car Insurance Letter
Will cancel my car insurance is the same as non-renewal?
I have a new insurer, and walked my old insurance policy today. I called them "Cancel" and they said they have had a signature, so mail them a letter. Then I got thinking, I'm not really cancel … asked, I'm not renewing. Do I still need to do the same, write them a letter and say I want it canceled the date today? Is not the same as the renewal the cancellation?
Anyway, they want something in writing. That way, you can not go back and say "I was in an accident, but my co ins extension my policy. "They can say we do not extend, by request of the policyholder." Probably right. It warns the state you are not renewing with those who would violate the state law your ins. State wpould you see applied for and obtained insurance elsewhere. You and they are now legal.
